Clearing sprays
What are clearing sprays used for?
Clearing sprays are aromatic mists designed to refresh a space, mark a transition or create a moment of pause. Use them before meditation or yoga, after a long day, during a reset between activities, or whenever you want to shift the atmosphere around you.
How do I use a clearing spray?
Shake gently before use, then mist into your space, around the room or lightly around your body, depending on the product. Allow the aroma to settle and take a moment to breathe naturally.
Can I use clearing sprays every day?
Yes. Our clearing sprays are designed for regular use as part of everyday rituals. You can use them whenever you want to refresh your surroundings, create a sense of transition or take a mindful pause.
What is the difference between a clearing spray and a regular room freshener?
Clearing sprays are created as aromatic ritual products rather than simply to mask odours. Each blend combines carefully selected essential oils and botanicals to create a distinct sensory experience, whether the intention is grounding, refreshing, restoring or preparing for rest.
Can I use clearing sprays around pets?
Use clearing sprays only as ambient mists and avoid spraying directly on or near animals. If you have cats or birds, mist in a separate room and allow the space to settle and ventilate before they return.
Scented Candles
What are Kindred Spirit candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured in Dubai using 100% soy wax and carefully blended fragrance oils. They’re created to bring warmth and intention to everyday spaces.
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Before each use, trim the wick to around 5mm. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface before extinguishing. This helps prevent tunnelling and encourages a more even burn over time.
Why do I need to trim the wick?
A trimmed wick helps the candle burn more steadily and reduces excess smoke and soot. Allow the candle to cool completely, then trim the wick before lighting it again.
How long should I burn my candle for?
For the best results, burn your candle for around 2-4 hours at a time. Avoid burning it for too long, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
Can I use a scented candle as part of a ritual?
Absolutely. A candle can simply create warmth and atmosphere, or become part of a more intentional practice. Light one before meditation, during a bath, while reading, or whenever you want to create a quieter moment in your space.
Holders & Burners
What are incense holders and burners used for?
They provide a safe, stable place to burn incense while catching ash and containing heat. They can also become part of the ritual, adding beauty and intention to the space.
What type of incense can I burn in a holder or burner?
It depends on the design. Some holders are made for incense sticks, while others are suitable for cones, loose incense, aromatic resins or woods such as Palo Santo. Check the individual product description to see what each piece is designed for.
Do I need a burner to burn incense?
It depends on the type of incense. Incense sticks and cones can be used in suitable holders, while loose incense, aromatic resins and woods generally require a heat-resistant burner and, where applicable, a charcoal disc.
How do I use an incense burner safely?
Place your burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, children and pets. Allow hot charcoal, ash and the burner itself to cool completely before touching or moving them, and never leave burning incense unattended.
How do I clean my incense holder or burner?
Allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Remove loose ash and residue gently, then clean according to the material of the piece. Avoid excessive water on delicate or porous materials unless the product instructions allow it.
Perfumery
What are the perfumes made from?
Our roll-on fragrances are blended with essential oils and carefully selected aroma notes, creating wearable scents inspired by oud and botanical profiles.
How do I apply a perfume roll-on?
Apply a small amount to your pulse points, such as your wrists, neck or behind your ears. Let the fragrance settle naturally rather than rubbing it into the skin.
Why does the same perfume smell different on different people?
Fragrance interacts with your skin's natural chemistry, so the same perfume can develop differently from person to person. Your individual skin chemistry helps shape how the fragrance smells and evolves throughout the day.
How long does a roll-on perfume last?
Wear time varies depending on the fragrance, your skin and how much you apply. Roll-ons are designed to be reapplied throughout the day whenever you want to refresh the scent.
Can I wear a roll-on perfume every day?
Absolutely. Our roll-ons are designed for everyday wear. Apply to your pulse points in the morning and reapply as desired throughout the day.
Incense
What is incense made from?
Our incense sticks and cones are handcrafted using different combinations of botanical ingredients, natural resins and plant materials. Our sticks are inspired by traditional Indian methods and may include ingredients such as sandalwood and halmaddi, along with IFRA-certified fragrance compounds. Our cones are made from botanical resins, herbs and plant materials.
What's the difference between incense sticks and cones?
Both create fragrant smoke, but they offer a different burning experience. Incense sticks generally burn for longer and release fragrance more gradually, while cones are more compact and tend to burn more quickly, making them a good choice for a shorter ritual or a quick refresh.
How long does incense burn for?
Burn time varies depending on the size and type of incense. As a general guide, incense sticks typically burn for around 20-45 minutes, while cones usually burn for around 15-30 minutes. Airflow and the size of the incense can also affect the burn time.
How do I burn incense safely?
Place your incense in a stable, heat-resistant holder away from curtains, children and pets. Burn in a well-ventilated space and never leave burning incense unattended. Allow ash and the holder to cool completely before handling.
When can I use incense?
Incense can be part of a meditation or space-clearing practice, or simply used to bring fragrance and atmosphere into your everyday surroundings. Light it whenever you want to create a more intentional moment or shift the feel of a space.
Sound Therapy
What is sound therapy?
Sound therapy uses sound and vibration as part of a mindful or relaxation practice. Singing bowls, chimes and other sound instruments can be used to create calming tones, mark transitions or simply bring greater awareness to the present moment.
What can sound therapy instruments be used for?
They can be used during meditation, breathwork, yoga or other personal rituals, or simply to create a calming atmosphere at home. Different instruments create different tones and vibrations, so the experience can vary from one piece to another.
What's the difference between singing bowls and chimes?
Singing bowls create sustained, resonant tones that can be explored through striking or, with some bowls, circling the rim. Chimes create lighter, moving tones that change with air movement or gentle interaction. Both can be used to bring sound and presence into a ritual or space.
How do I use a singing bowl?
Place the bowl on a stable surface or in your hand, depending on the design. Gently strike the bowl with its mallet to create a resonant tone. Some bowls can also be played by moving the mallet around the rim. Experiment gently to find the sound and pressure that feel right to you.
Do I need any experience to use sound therapy instruments?
Not at all. These instruments are simple to explore and don't require formal training. Start gently, listen to how each sound develops, and use the instrument in whatever way feels natural to your practice.
Smudging
What are smudging sticks?
Smudging sticks are bundles of dried herbs, plants and botanicals that are burned to release their natural fragrance and smoke. They can be used as part of space-clearing rituals, meditation or simply to create a different atmosphere in your surroundings.
What are smudging sticks made from?
It depends on the individual bundle. Our collection includes different herbs, plants and botanical combinations, with some bundles handcrafted in Argentina using 100% natural botanicals. Check the individual product description for the ingredients and origin of each bundle.
How do I use a smudging stick?
Light the tip until it catches flame, allow it to burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame and let the ember and smoke develop. Move through your space, allowing the smoke to reach the areas you'd like to refresh, then place the bundle in a fireproof dish when not in use. Always extinguish it fully when you're finished.
What's the difference between smudging sticks and incense?
Smudging sticks are typically bundles of dried plants and herbs, while incense is made in forms such as sticks, cones, resins or loose blends. Both can be burned to create fragrance and atmosphere, but they offer different ingredients, scents and burning experiences.
How do I burn smudging sticks safely?
Always burn smudging sticks in a well-ventilated space and use a fireproof, heat-resistant dish or holder. Keep them away from curtains, furniture, children and pets, and never leave burning botanicals unattended. Make sure the ember is completely extinguished before disposing of or storing the bundle.
Resins
What are aromatic resins?
Aromatic resins are naturally occurring substances collected from certain trees and plants. When heated, they release their fragrance, creating a rich, often deep and earthy aromatic experience.
How do I choose a resin?
Start with the scent profile and the experience you want to create. Some resins are deep, woody and earthy, while others are lighter, sweeter or more aromatic. If you're new to resins, choose a scent that naturally appeals to you. There is no right or wrong place to start.
What's the difference between resin and incense?
Resin is a raw aromatic material that is burned to release its fragrance. Incense sticks and cones are prepared forms of incense that contain a blend of ingredients designed to burn on their own. Resins generally require charcoal or another suitable heat source.
How do I burn aromatic resin?
Resins are typically heated on a lit charcoal disc placed inside a heat-resistant burner. Once the charcoal is glowing and lightly ashed over, place a small amount of resin on top and allow the fragrance to develop. Start with a small amount and add more if needed.
How do I burn resin safely?
Always use resin with a heat-resistant burner on a stable, non-flammable surface. Burning charcoal becomes extremely hot, so keep it away from curtains, furniture, children and pets. Use in a well-ventilated space and never leave burning charcoal or resin unattended.
Crystals
What are crystals?
Crystals are minerals formed naturally within the Earth over millions of years through processes involving heat, pressure, cooling and mineral-rich water. Each stone develops its own colour, shape, texture and natural characteristics, making every piece unique.
How do I choose a crystal?
There are a few ways to choose a crystal. You can choose by your zodiac sign, explore the traditional qualities associated with different stones, or simply follow your instinct. Look, touch and see what you're naturally drawn to. There is no wrong way to choose.
What's the difference between raw crystals, shaped crystals, tumbled stones and crystal jewellery?
Raw crystals are kept close to their natural form, while shaped crystals are cut or polished into intentional forms. Tumbled stones are smaller, smooth and rounded from polishing. Bracelets and pendants are designed to make your chosen stone easy to wear and carry with you.
How do I clean my crystal?
Cleaning methods depend on the stone. Some tumbled crystals can be rinsed briefly under running water, while others are better cleaned using smoke from a smudge stick or incense, or by placing them in brown rice. Avoid water and salt water for delicate stones such as pyrite, labradorite, selenite, malachite, fluorite, opal and turquoise.
How do I recharge my crystal?
Many people like to place their crystals in sunlight or moonlight as part of a cleansing or recharging ritual. You can also simply hold your crystal, set an intention and take a moment to reconnect with it. If using sunlight, check that your particular stone is suitable, as prolonged exposure can fade some crystals.
